Elle Mueller: A Rising Star in NCAA Women's Gymnastics
Elle Mueller, a talented gymnast from Ham Lake, Minnesota, transformed her childhood energy into exceptional skills that helped the University of Oklahoma clinch its seventh NCAA Division I team championship on April 19. Starting gymnastics at a young age due to her high energy, Mueller quickly excelled at the Twin City Twisters, earning spots on U.S. National Teams and accolades including a gold medal at the 2022 City of Jesolo Trophy and a silver at the Pan American Championships.
Choosing Oklahoma for college was an easy decision for Mueller, influenced by her coach and previous gymnasts who had succeeded there. Initially pressured by expectations during her freshman season, she learned to focus on her performance and trust her training. As the team advanced through the NCAA postseason, they fostered a competitive spirit that inspired each other. Mueller's standout performances earned her All-American honors on vault, and the Sooners won the championship with a score of 198.0125, outperforming teams like UCLA, Missouri, and Utah. Mueller's journey culminated in a triumphant moment, validating her dreams and dedication to the sport.
